It'd be nice to receive confirmation on that, though. Even though the Android operating system is Unix-based, it is designed to be case insensitive so as to behave with file systems that are not case sensitive. Note that this issue does not affect the Android version. If you do write this program for iOS, I'll be your best friend! So it will only help if you have the game on one of the other systems. The case sensitivity issue is specific to Unix-based operating systems and should not affect Android applications which run on an implementation of the Java Virtual Machine. Many of these changes can alter the experience.
Modding kotor 1 for ios mod#
The KOTOR 1 Restoration 1.2 mod by the K1R Team attempts to restore any missing game content, including a cut highest difficulty setting, Impossible, and some cut dialogue. Note that this issue does not affect the Android version. Sometimes, content gets cut from games prior to release or over time, though it remains in the code. If I recall correctly, Future Pilot reported that files packaged in RIMs and MODs also have to be renamed, so there may be a similar issue here. Specifically, I'd like to determine to what extent it's necessary to hex edit model files that reference the names of other files (e.g. I only own the games on Windows, so it would be help to have someone who owns them on Mac, Linux, and/or iOS and is comfortable with installing mods on any of those systems to be able to test it.
Modding kotor 1 for ios install#
Do you guys know which ones are mac/iOS compatible I specifically want to install the Brotherhood of Shadow and Kotor 1 restoration mods. Looked at the mod builds on the sidebar, but I'm not sure which ones work on a mac/iOS. I intend to go through the Community Patches and all my own mods to convert all files to lowercase, and due to the monotony of such a task, I'm thinking of writing a program to do it. Want to start a new playthrough of KOTOR 1 but with all the mods.
